Rakshabandhan Celebration

Rakshabandhan is that special day of the year when that special bond between a brother and a sister is celebrated by tying ‘Rakhi’. It falls on the last day of the lunar calendar, in the month of August. The expression ‘Rakshabandhan’ in Sanskrit means ‘The bond of protection, obligation or care’.
At Jump Thru Joy the best Montessori Pres-school in Pashan, Rakshabandhan was celebrated, keeping in mind the love, care and affection towards each other. The children were explained about how and why Rakshabandhan is celebrated and is it important.
The team of JTJ had planned an activity of Eco Friendly Rakhi making, wherein the children had brought material like shell of pistas, flowers cloves and remaining woolen thread which made it Eco friendly.
The playgroup and the nursery teachers helped the children make the rakhis and the Jr. and Sr. kg children made the Eco friendly Rakhis on their own. All the children were very excited to make the Rakhis and tie them to each other. We clicked a lot of pictures with the children and their very own handmade Eco friendly Rakhis.
Through events like these children understand the diversity in India and also the importance of different events.
